    International Islamic School Tsunami Aid Drive and Aceh Relief Mission (IIS-ARM)

    Initiated and helped organise a relief mission to Aceh, after the 26th December 2004 Tsunami, on the capacity as the school’s counsellor and students’ advisor. The school sent a group of senior male students and a male teacher to Banda Aceh. They spent 10 days in the area to help in the clean-up mission, locating and removing dead bodies, giving moral and material support to survivors, as well as to distribute some amount of donated money and goods. IIS was the only secondary school that sent a group of students to assist the people of Aceh, in the wake of the devastating 2004 Tsunami.
